As the Democrat Congress heads home without producing an energy bill, Obama shifts to a new position.
The AP reports today:
"Shifting from his previous opposition to expanded offshore drilling, the Illinois senator told a Florida newspaper he could get behind a compromise with Republicans and oil companies to prevent gridlock over energy."
Obama might be for it after he was against it
Well, how convenient. It's too bad he didn't announce his shift in position before today. Would this have changed Nancy's mind?
Obama has taken a pounding from McCain and Republicans for his position against offshore drilling, and some say that this has brought his poll numbers down.
If McCain keeps up the pressure, Obama might just change parties before it is all over.
